Hello!

My name is Ferris (they/he)

I'm a Dalhousie marine biology undergraduate focusing on science communications and intertidal ecology. I'm also a graphics artist, journalist and photographer, and social media manager.

Growing up next to the Pacific, I gained a deep appreciation for the surrounding ocean life and a general love for kayaking. I eventually found a love for education through nearly a decade of teaching outdoor education and marine sciences. I continue to strive to utilize my passion for interdisciplinary learning as outlets for science communication and marine biology research.

I've had the opportunity to creatively share complex marine science information in engaging, honest ways through photography, film, authorship, visual design, and radio. No matter the form, I strive to utilize science communication for all.

In my free time, I bake vegan snacks and learn as much as I can about music theory.
